Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) Practitioner
Purpose
This course provides a clear understanding of the requirements for risk assessment and hazardous area classification as defined by DSEAR, for those responsible for the design, installation, use, or maintenance of equipment or systems involving gases and solvents. The course involves several activities and covers typical aspects included a DSEAR Risk Assessments. Attendees will take part in a simple hazardous area classification to gain insight in the process. The course also offers an introduction on the specification of ATEX equipment required to be installed within hazardous areas.

What prior study is recommended?
Education, skills or experience equivalent to undergraduate level. Participants should have some awareness of DSEAR. Risktec module: DSEAR Awareness
This DSEAR Practitioner course can be delivered on the same day as the DSEAR Awareness, if both courses are required.
