What our current employees say

As a professional engineer I want to solve technical problems across different industries, and consultancy enables you to do that. The diversity of opportunity at Risktec has been fantastic – I have worked on projects across multiple sectors including rail, hydrogen generation, storage and use, battery storage, onshore and offshore wind, as well as on various machinery (including that to facilitate space exploration!).

There have been a few highlights since I have joined Risktec, but travelling to Baku for a workshop for the week was a really special opportunity. Azerbaijan is a country I never thought I would get the opportunity to visit, the city was really nice and the people very welcoming.

Michael,
Project Engineer,
Warrington

I work part time, three days a week (Tues to Thurs). Tuesdays are my meeting-heavy days where I catch up on what’s happened whilst I’ve not been working, touch base with my office team and project teams, and generally do project work during the afternoon.

During my first year with Risktec, my most memorable experience was visiting a site in Northern Saskatechewan. The site visit required several flights to get to and from the location as there are minimal paved roads. It was the most north I have ever travelled in Canada…luckily it was in the beginning of Spring.

The main things I like about working for Risktec is the vast expertise within the Asset Integrity Management team, and, the ability to learn from and work with so many experienced engineers is extremely important to me. Another aspect I like is the ability to travel to different sites (power stations) around the UK and experience how different organisations work and see what challenges different clients face.
