Sustainability within Risktec

During the COVID-19 pandemic we’ve seen individuals, governments and corporations from all sectors pull together as a global community to achieve the common goal of protecting and saving lives. This gives us great hope for a positive sustainable future.

In our business of risk and safety management we have a marked opportunity to make a positive impact on society by working in partnership with our clients to make the world more sustainable for all. We have conducted an extensive analysis of how we ourselves meet, and how we help our clients to meet, the United Nations’ 17 sustainable development goals. As a result of this analysis, we have prioritised five key goals to focus upon as part of a three-year action plan.

These commitments are a call to action for our whole organisation. They will ensure accountability and help us measure our contribution over time. Through our actions we aim to engineer a better future for our planet and its people. Risktec is proud to be on this journey, and I look forward to seeing our progress of both our own activities and those of our clients over the coming years.

Our sustainability strategy

At Risktec we truly believe that companies will only be successful in the long term if they incorporate sustainability and social responsibility into the way they manage their business.

Sustainability Development Goals Logo

This means two things to us. Firstly, through the services we offer, our mission is to help our clients, and hence society as whole, meet their evolving energy and infrastructure needs in a safe, sustainable, and ethical way. Secondly, through our internal policies and practices, we are committed to the responsibility we have as a company to meet the needs of people, society, and the environment on a sustainable basis.

We implement best practices and ensure global compliance with human rights and labour standards of equality; occupational safety and mental health and well-being; safeguarding; environmental protection; anti-bribery, anti-money laundering and ethical business standards.

Through the actions of our people, we support our clients with the development of clean energy technologies, ensure diversity and inclusion in our operations, and support local community initiatives. We seek opportunities to be part of proactive change which will make a positive difference for the future.

TÜV Rheinland and Risktec support the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
