Verification Services Manager (Staff)

Unique Opportunity:-
Inspection Verification Bureau Ltd. (IVB) has recently been acquired by TUV Rheinland and is one of the TUVR-UK group companies. Significant growth is taking place which provides an opportunity for the right person to join a company with significant growth potential in the provision of Verification Services to a number of UK and international clients.
TUV Rheinland are a well established organisation that are keen to develop their Verification Services to an international client base. IVB is the core of that development and the successful applicant will become the go to person within TUVR for the provision of verification services throughout the organisation.
It is envisaged that the successful applicant will be willing and able to look at a number of differing approached to verification and asset management that will suit the client’s needs and requirements. The applicant will be expected to seek new challenges and business opportunities.

Experience & Skills Required:
10 years + experience in the provision of Verification Services, preferably in the Offshore Oil & Gas industry. The experience will be expected to include; Offshore Surveys / QA/QC / Maintenance Application / Reviews of Clients Verification Schemes, Safety & Environmental Critical Elements, Performance Standards and Written Schemes of Examination.
Knowledge and experience of verification through the full life cycle, (I.E. FEED, design, procurement / construction, installation / commissioning, operation / decommissioning), of Offshore and Onshore Installations would be an advantage.
Knowledge of UK Safety Case Regulations (SCR), Design and Construction Regulations (DCR) and PFEER, the application and interactions will be essential.
Good interpersonal skills, inc. the ability to effectively communicate with the Client at all levels to discuss positive and negative issues and resolve problems.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work simultaneously for multiple Projects and Clients involving varied technical challenges.
Ideally willing to travel in UK and International to meet our Client’s needs.

Qualifications Required:
Degree in Engineering or equivalent recognised experience, HNC / HND can be considered.
Member of an Engineering Institute would be an advantage and advancement to chartered engineer status is encouraged by IVB.
Ability to travel offshore with Offshore Medical and Survival Training Certification would be expected.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The Verification Services Manager, will be responsible to companies’ directors for the effective provision of:-

• Project Management of ongoing Verification Contracts.
• Liaison with clients representatives for technical matters.
• Development and / or implementation of Verification Schemes covering Projects and existing Installations in accordance with UK and Dutch legislation.
• Carry out offshore and onshore verification activities when required.
  (I.E. Surveys, examinations, inspection reviews and technical audits onshore against Performance Standards and International Standards or Client Specifications).
• Management of Design appraisal and documentation verification in line with relevant codes and standards.
• If required, also supply similar independent Verification services to International Clients to meet national and international codes and standards and/or their own specifications requirements.
• Effectively communicate findings at all levels within the Clients organisation.
• Management of Technical and clerical personnel.
• Understand and implement safe working practices.
• Provide and review technical reports that are clear, concise and in a format that is suitable for presentation to clients.
• Technical Review of engineering design reports.
• Understand and adhere to IVB policies and procedures.
