Principal, Senior Safety & Risk Engineer
Location: Aberdeen
We currently have a vacancy at our Risktec Aberdeen office for a Principal, Senior Safety & Risk Engineer who is experienced in risk management and process safety for oil, gas, chemical, distillery and renewable energy sectors. In addition, previous working experience in an established engineering consultancy is desirable and the successful applicant for this post will be based fulltime in Aberdeen and will involve travel around the UK and abroad.

Risktec has a number of vacancies across the company and in particular we are looking for experienced oil, gas, chemical, distillery and renewable energy risk management and process safety consultants to be based in our Aberdeen office.
Applicants should have a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in some or all of the following:
• facilitating hazard identification workshops such as HAZOP, PHA and/or HAZID
• bowtie analysis and the derivation of Safety and Environmentally Critical Equipment (SECE)
• demonstrating ALARP
• SIL, LOPA and RAM studies Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) risk assessments and Hazardous Area Classification
• physical effects modelling and QRA
• performance standards
• COMAH Safety Report and/or Safety Case development
• project planning and management
• preparing / co-ordinating bids
• delivering training
The role would involve travel to UK and world-wide locations to meet project requirements.

Interview Process
For Interviews once selected, we will schedule an initial remote interview (Skype, Teams, etc.), after which you will be required to attend our Aberdeen office (if circumstances permit) for a second interview.
The initial interview will consist of an introduction to Risktec Solutions and a general discussion based upon your previous experience. The second interview will include a short technical presentation by the interviewee, a technical interview and a general discussion with the Risktec Aberdeen team
