Risktec Solutions are an established, independent and specialist risk management consulting, training and resourcing company, and is part of a worldwide multi-national. We assist clients in major hazard industries and commercial and public sectors to manage health, safety, security, environmental (HSSE) and business risk.
We have offices in key locations in the UK, with our Rail business being concentrated between London, Derby and our headquarters in Warrington. We also have offices in the Middle and Far East and North America. Our activities are supported by a comprehensive network of offices and local representatives in other regions around the world. Our intention is to be close to our clients.
We work with a wide spectrum of clients including National Regulators, Infrastructure Managers, Train Operating Companies and System Suppliers. Our range of projects covers Underground, Heavy Rail, Light Rail and Metro Systems and all disciplines including
Electrification, Telecoms, Signalling, Rolling Stock and Infrastructure. As our portfolio of work includes larger safety projects it allows for those with less experience to shadow and gain support from Senior and Principal consultants and conversely gives those with more experience the opportunity to mentor and train junior engineers.
We are experiencing a high demand from our clients in the Rail sector and we are therefore seeking to increase our expertise in the London Rail Team.
KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
For these roles we require highly motivated, dynamic and influential individuals to join our team on a permanent basis. Interested candidates should ideally have excellent industry knowledge, good organizational and written and verbal communication skills and be flexible enough to occasionally work at client sites in the UK. Successful candidates are likely to be university educated with a degree in engineering, science or equivalent.
They would ideally have experience in the Rail Industry in a System Assurance, Safety, Reliability or Systems Engineering role and will be a member of a relevant professional institute, either already chartered or working towards it. Candidates should have awareness of HAZOP, HAZID, FME(C)A, RBDs, FRACAS assessments and industry specific directives, regulations and standards such as EN 50126, EN 50129, Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs) and Common Safety Method (CSM) on Risk Evaluation and Assessment.
You will receive a highly competitive salary, with private medical, employer pension contributions and excellent profit share. In addition, we support our people with a competency development programme, which builds on technical skills and industry focus, as well as relationship and project management skills.
All consultants are offered the opportunity to join our MSc programme in risk and safety management. Risktec is an international company and offers opportunities for multi-industry experience and work outside the UK.
